Minimum requirements to skydive in Bentota Beach
Age
The minimum age for skydiving is 18 years. There is no maximum age limit for skydiving, however we do recommend that you consult a doctor if you have any age related health concerns prior to booking and payment.
Fitness Requirements
Skydive Sri Lanka requires each tandem customer to meet both the weight and BMI requirements listed below. These are the equipment’s manufacturer’s requirements and we cannot make exceptions for safety reasons. Read our FAQs for more info.

Weight: 90.0 kg/ 198.0 lbs or less;
BMI: 27.5 or less. - Men
Weight: 100.0 kg/220 lbs or less;
BMI: 30.0 or less.

I have spent years visiting Sri Lanka to see friends & family, every time I wanted to do this skydive, I did a lot of research and found SkyDive SriLanka to be the best!
The whole booking process to meeting at the hotel to the airport to the dive to the boat ride back to the hotel absolutely flawless!

My boyfriend and I had always dreamed of doing a skydive together, and we decided to make our very first jump in Sri Lanka – and it was the best decision we could have made.
From the very beginning, the communication with the team was excellent. Henry and Russ were always super responsive, replying very quickly whenever I had questions. They were also incredibly flexible and really tried their best to find a suitable date that worked for us.
When the day finally came, we had some trouble with our bike and got delayed. Despite this, the guys still managed to make it possible for us to jump later in the afternoon – which made us incredibly happy and grateful.
From start to finish, we felt completely comfortable with them. They are super funny, but at the same time extremely professional. We felt well taken care of and, most importantly, very safe. The briefing was clear and thorough, and the jump itself was absolutely outstanding – pure adrenaline and so much fun.

The experience was a surprise Christmas present from my brother - and I found out I was skydiving an hour before the actual experience! As any normal human being would - I was freaking out. I had no mental preparation whatsoever but Henry and Russ made sure that it was an enjoyable and exciting experience. They are very easy going and honest conversationalists.
I went skydiving with Henry and he was very thorough with the instructions and constantly checked in to make sure that I was doing alright.
Would highly recommend anyone travelling to Sri Lanka or even if you are living in Sri Lanka to try out skydiving with Skydive Lanka as they have plenty of experience and make it a memorable one!

Getting to finally experience SkyDiving right here in Sri Lanka felt absolutely perfect. I went with a group of eight friends, and every one of us had an incredible time.
SkyDiving Sri Lanka handled the entire event with impressive organization. Even though the weather wasn’t on our side at first, the team kept our spirits high and made sure we stayed excited. In the end, the day turned into one of the most unforgettable moments of our lives.
The instructors were exceptional, safety measures were top-notch, and we were kept comfortable throughout the day until our turn to jump. Never expected the tandem skydive to be this good man that was freaking awesome. We (myself and my wife) both did this crazy thing with so much confidence with Skydive Sri Lanka where they have well experienced instructors who helped us thru the process and fun filled difficult to explain experience with a blast of adrenaline and joy from 13000 feet above mean sea level down to beautiful beach in Benthora Sri Lanka . The initial free fall up to a minute was the best part. Thank you Russ and Henry the two instructors for bringing us this joy. We will do it again

Skydiving with Skydive Sri Lanka was hands down the most thrilling thing I’ve ever done in my life! From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel safe, confident, and super excited. Jumped with Skydive Sri Lanka 2 days ago and it was an absolutely lifechanging experience! It was my first time skydiving so naturally I was pretty nervous, but Russ and Henry are really experienced and really helped us work through our feelings prior to the jump. They explained everything in such a calm and relaxed manner and made us feel super safe and comfortable throughout the whole process. Bentota is the perfect place to skydive because its absolutely STUNNING and you land on the beach after skydiving over views of the ocean and the jungles. The whole thing was super smooth and so much fun. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience, I think I'll be doing it again soon. Did a SkyDive couple of weeks back. The team was amazing. From the stage of booking, up until the skydive was complete, the entire skydive team was extremely responsive and friendly amidst their busy and tiring schedule.

My experience skydiving was absolutely fantastic! I loved the experience from start to finish. It was my 2nd time jumping overall, but this was definitely my favourite! From the time of booking to the time of jumping, the entire process was very smooth and everything was well organised. Henry and Russ did an excellent job throughout, were very professional ensured the safety of all the jumpers.. definitely the place to go to if you have been thinking about skydiving!

This is absolutely an amazing, once-in-a-life-time experience I would recommend to anybody. The feeling of free fall is ineffable and the parachute ride is awesome! You are always safe in the hands of Skydive Sri Lanka.

Brilliant experience and crew. Would highly recommend to anyone considering a skydive in Sri Lanka. Super professional from start to finish and a great location to jump from in Bentota landing on the beach. Also great sense of humour from each of the team. Look forward to going back one day! Truly the most amazing experience! From start to finish the team at Sky Dive Sri Lanka were faultless. Really great communication when booking (and throughout the whole experience)- which was hugely appreciated.

Must be the craziest thing I ever did, but will definitely do it again! Amazing experience! Very kind and super professional crew. Which makes the event even better. My first tandem jump ever—and it was absolutely unforgettable! I went in with some ideas and expectations, but the experience went far beyond anything I imagined.
From the moment I met the Skydive Sri Lanka team, I felt completely at ease. Russ, Troy, and Henry are an amazing team—professional, experienced, and so reassuring. They explained everything clearly and created such a positive vibe. We were lucky to come at 10 a.m. and got the chance to watch others land before our turn, seeing their big smiles made me even more excited (and a little more nervous!).
The equipment and the little airplane looked to be in excellent condition, which added to the feeling of safety. Once we took off, the nerves kicked in, but that’s part of the adventure! 😉
The flight was already amazing and then everything happened quiet fast—the jump, the rush out of the plane, and then… the free fall.
The free fall is CRAZY—an indescribable mix of shock, thrill, and awe. I’ve never felt anything like it before. And then, when the parachute opened, everything slowed down, and I could fully take in the stunning views of Bentota—the river, the beach, and the endless horizon. It was simply breathtaking.
Landing was smooth, and I couldn’t stop smiling for hours afterward. This was such a fun and safe experience, thanks to the professionalism and care of the Skydive Sri Lanka team. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure!

No need to be nervous about the safety.They will take care of you all the time.
They made sure all were feeling comfortable and not nervous. The jump was done at 13000ft and had a free fall for about 60 sec. From the moment we did the dive till we landed on the beach it took around 6 to 8minutes. You can feel what birds feel and Breathtaking views made it an unforgettable experience. Right throughout the dive instructor kept on explaining the process and ensured I was OK. I felt completely safe throughout the experience.
Tip; Please wear a collar less T shirt to to prevent discomfort from flapping collars during freefall

This was my first jump and that too planned all of sudden. I was travelling beautiful island Sri Lanka for work and extended my stay for it... The experience was MEMORABLE..I was getting bit wary of whole process till the ball start rolling at ratmalana airport with arrival of Russ and Henry. It was meticulously planned operationally. Just before flying I was bit nervous,trying to act normal. Was Out of words and sentences. . Then we flew. The view was majestic, with open aircraft and wind blowing, it felt more real than ever. Then the jump, the enthralling freefall began. The first feeling of tremendous wind pressure, I was in bit shock and lot of thoughts started running on my mind just in few secs. Almost Forgot all my instructions.. till the RUSS pop out just in front of me or below, in air with his Big Smile- like true professional and I got my nerves back and then I was able to make few poses . I do regret not been in good control of myself to look right n left a bit to see Russ manoeuvring in air. n few more poses also lol. But it was fun and enjoyable from thereon..the upward push of parachute opening, swirls around to view the most beautiful scenic view from the top.like you own it , only me above in air with The Henry- 10th or 95th on your back. .. the safe landing at beach. Most importantly it was safe, Henry was in total control and interacting if n when required during whole time. One more thing, Henry listened to my concern in mid air n asked me to blow out air from ear to help me out. Overall it was an enjoyable jump. I will be doing it for sure again and specially all indians n south asian to do it when in srilanka. And promote it also . Spread the word.. Kudos to Sky Dive Sri Lanka team. Special thanks to Russ Henry. Cheers mate

Where to begin.
I was desperate to do a skydive during my time in Sri Lanka so did a quick Google search and came across Skydive Sri Lanka. To my surprise I found out it is in its infancy having only been recently established. However the operation from start to finish couldn’t have been more professional and well organised. Booking my jump was as easy as I could’ve wished for, and the team were great in communicating all relevant details prior to the day of the jump, which helped ensure that everything was as stress free as possible.
On the day of the jump I arrived at the meeting point and was greeted by an experienced diver who ran through a few details and gave his personal background before getting me to fill in some straightforward paperwork.
Whilst I waited for my turn, I had the pleasure of sitting by the river with a spectacular view and watching the group of skydivers on before me complete their jumps, which in itself was quite something.
As anticipation grew, I was introduced to the full team of instructors who each in their own right were great. We ran through the briefing and had the full process explained to us as we had our harness things put on for us (surprisingly comfortable). Then we headed to our vehicle for a short drive where we had the opportunity to get to know the team better and learn about their own journeys.
Arriving at the airfield, we did a brief chat on camera (optional) before heading to our plane. Again, the team were super relaxed and jovial which helped put us at ease and made for a great buildup.
After a 20 minute flight to 13,000 ft, we ran over the guidance again before jumping. There’s very little I can really say about the jump itself, its an extremely personal experience which I would implore anyone to take on, it really is like nothing else out there. Freefalling for a minute or two was the most exhilarating feeling I’ve ever had, followed by around 6 - 7 mins of the most unbelievable views of the landscape (keep an eye out for Kande Vihara Temple). To be able to experience such amazing scenery from such a vantage point was unforgettable and can only hope that wont be the last time I experience it.
Few words about the team - Henry, Russ, Brad and my tandem diver Troy - full of life and character with a wealth of diving experience amongst them, it was a pleasure in itself to spend time understanding their backgrounds and plans for the future. For such an experience they were exactly what I’d want in guiding me through and no doubt they were a large part of such a great experience so I can’t thank them enough.
I’d say this is a must-do for anyone with even a small interest in skydiving - I can’t think of a better place to do so or a better team to do so with.

You know the craziest thing I felt while skydiving? Even though I freefall at 200km/h I didn’t felt like I was falling. It felt like I was just flying like superman ! The adrenalin rush was crazy I’ve never screamed like that before 😂♥️ The view was also breathtaking can’t describe thet feeling when you free-fall into the sea. Can notice the tiniest details like ships sailing, and the waves crashing.. Felt like I was in heaven for a moment.
All thanks to Skydive Srilanka. They are very professional and safety is their priority. Thanks henry for handling this occasion smoothly from the beginning. I’m definitely coming back again! 100% recommending Skydive Sri Lanka for anyone .

This was a 10/10 crazy experience!
Taking off from Colombo and seeing the beautiful scenery taking place on the western coast in Bentota was a treat of its own. The weather was perfect as well.
It was all fun and games enjoying the scenery until you leaped. it was a very difficult feeling to explain. The change in one's relaxed state to a free fall state quickly changes your body chemistry and spikes up your anxiety by a 1000% which i felt lasted for like 5 seconds. After that feeling passed, the rest was thrilling af 👌. Having the breathtaking views of the western coastline and the electrifying feeling of being pulled by gravity at great speeds was a fleeting experience of a lifetime. There was more to enjoy when the parachute was released as well. Now you get to enjoy some great views in slow motion and some fun parachute acrobatics done by Henry. The more we got closer to the beach the more i wished this lasted a few more minutes. And then you safely land softly and precisely on the marked spot on the beach. All the butterflies in your stomach slowly start fading and you get a sense of satisfaction on gaining such a memory.
All this enjoyment was possible because of the amazing and experienced team behind Skydive Sri Lanka. The guy i jumped with, Henry has done more than 6000 dives and Russ has done more than 14000 which was an overwhelming number for a first timer such as me. This goes to show that you were in safe hands all this time. Heard they were planning to add more jumps in the future such as Sigiriya and i cant wait to try it out as well. Finally im so glad that Sri Lanka got a commercial skydiving gig going on now, so all the bucket listers who were planning to do this abroad can do it here.
I wish the team behind Skydive Sri Lanka the very best for the future. Cheers.

Sky diving was always on my bucket list and glad I could ticked it off thanks to skydive Sri Lanka team. I got to know them via instagram and I was really happy that we get to experience this in Sri Lanka. I had an incredible experience with Skydive Sri Lanka! From start to finish, everything was top-notch and very safe. Instructors Russ and Henry were exceptional, not only in their professionalism but also in their friendliness, making sure we were well-prepared and comfortable. Although we faced a few problems due to weather, the team managed them seamlessly without any inconvenience for us.
The entire process was smooth, and the staff's dedication to providing an amazing experience was evident at every step. The instructions were clear, and the dive itself was absolutely awesome. Diving with Skydive Sri Lanka was amazing. Such a wonderful experience.
Highly recommend sky diving with them, had such a clear view visibility from Colombo to the Hills. The Coach, Russ was amazing going into every little details from raising the legs to holding the parachute Control to every bit of it.
