Terms and Conditions

Acceptance

Confirmation of a booking and payment indicates that you accept these booking terms and conditions. It is your responsibility to read and understand these terms and conditions. Any questions can be directed to our booking team staff prior to making a booking and payment.

Availability of Dates & Times

All skydive dates and times are subject to availability. Always check availability and days of operation, either online or with our booking team, prior to booking and payment.

Gift vouchers may be used to book a skydive on any available date or time, subject to the terms and conditions of the voucher purchased.

Scheduled Booking Times

All bookings are an arrival time for the meeting location only. Please note this is not a jump time. We endeavour to complete your skydive promptly, however due to factors beyond our control this is not always possible.

Safety is our priority. Weather factors such as wind, turbulence, rain and cloud, and other factors such as local air traffic and aircraft requirements can impact the time it takes to complete your skydive. These factors can cause delays to operations, or may require rescheduling of operations.

You are required to arrive at the scheduled booking time and be available for up to 6 hours of your arrival. Missing this window may result in forfeit of the jump without refund.

We advise you to arrive with no time constraints and plan for this to be at least a half day’s activity.

Group Bookings

If you have made a skydive booking on behalf of others, it is your responsibility to ensure all members of the group are informed of our Terms & Conditions. You are responsible for providing us with the names and contact details of all individuals in your group. We always try to assign groups to the same aircraft, but this is not always possible due to operational requirements. No refunds will be made in situations where we need to change the group configuration.

Changes to a Confirmed Skydive

To ensure the highest standards are maintained, we reserve the right to reschedule or alter a skydive without notice. Whilst rare, these changes may include aircraft type, jump time, group size, altitude reached and jump location. These changes do not constitute a claim for refund.

Personal Identification

Every person booked for a skydive must have a valid passport or Sri Lankan NIC and will be required to bring it on the day, and may be required to send a digital copy of identification prior to jumping. Skydive Sri Lanka requires proof of identity for each person skydiving, and you will be required to present identification to airport authorities to access the airport. Skydive Sri Lanka bears no responsibility if you do not bring valid identifying documents, or if your documents are not considered valid by Sri Lankan Authorities.

Age

The minimum age for skydiving is 18 years.

There is no maximum age limit for skydiving, however we do recommend that you consult a doctor prior to booking and payment if you have any age related health concerns.

Fitness Requirements

Skydive Sri Lanka requires each tandem customer to meet both the weight and BMI requirements listed below. These are the equipment manufacturer’s requirements and we cannot make exceptions, for safety reasons.

Women – Weight: 90.0 kg/ 198.0 lbs or less; BMI: 27.5 or less.

Men – Weight: 100.0 kg/220 lbs or less; BMI: 30.0 or less.

Our staff will weigh you (with your shoes and clothes on) when you arrive on the day of your skydive.

There is no minimum weight, but you must safely fit in our skydive harness. Please contact our bookings team prior to booking if you have any questions or concerns. 

A minimum level of fitness is required to complete a tandem skydive and to ensure a safe landing. You must be able to:

Climb / step up to 1 metre to board the aircraft;
Lift your legs and feet 90 degrees to your waist unassisted;
Walk unassisted on uneven ground, including on sand.

Skydiving is an adventure sport, and the minimum requirements are in place for your safety and the safety of our skydive instructors. Skydive Sri Lanka instructors have absolute discretion in determining if a person is unfit to skydive.

No refunds will be available if you do not meet the fitness requirements. It is your responsibility to contact our booking team if you have any questions about fitness requirements prior to booking or payment.

Medical Conditions

It is your responsibility to consult your doctor about any medical conditions that could affect you safely completing a skydive. 

Prior to booking, it is your responsibility to advise us of any medical conditions or other considerations that could affect your safety or the safety of our instructors.

Alcohol and Drugs

No alcohol, ‘recreational’ drugs or medication that may affect your judgement are to be present in your system at the time of your jump. You may be refused if our instructors have reason to believe you are under the influence of any alcohol or drugs that may impair your judgement.

Restrictions for Scuba Diving

Due to medical restrictions, you must not scuba dive within 24 hours of your scheduled skydive check in time. You must inform Skydive Sri Lanka staff and your instructor if you have been scuba diving in the preceding 24 hours. 

No refund will be given in cases where you cannot jump due to scuba dive restrictions.

Payments

Full payment for the skydive is required at the time of booking. 

Any additional payments for add-on products, merchandise, etc., may be processed via card or cash payment on the day.  Card payments on the day may attract card surcharges.

Changes to Bookings

A booking can be rescheduled for free with 7 days’ notice. 

Any change to the booking date or time within 7 days of the booking will incur a $75 change fee per person.

Changes to booking date or time within 72 hours of the booking will be at the absolute discretion of Skydive Sri Lanka, and changes may not be possible due to aircraft booking requirements and costs already incurred.

It is your responsibility to contact our booking team to arrange any changes in schedule at the earliest possibility.

Refund Policy

Cancellation on our part – If your skydive does not proceed due to weather conditions or other factors outside our control, you may choose to either rebook for any of our available dates, or alternatively receive a complete refund of the booking, less any transaction fees.

Cancellation on your part – Any refunds due to change of mind or plans on your part with more than 7 days notice will be refunded, less any transaction fees. Any refunds due to change of mind or plans on your part with less than 7 days notice will be less any transaction fees, and will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee per person.  There are no refunds available for changes to bookings for any reason with less than 72 hours notice.

No-shows – If you do not check in on the day of your booking no refund will be given.

Refund Payments

Any refunds given can take up to 20 business days, and are subject to the refund processing time of our payment provider. We are not responsible for any changes in foreign currency value between original purchase and any refund. 

Personal Electronic Equipment

The use of personal electronic devices, including camera and video equipment, is not permitted on the aircraft or at any time during the jump. This is a safety requirement to protect our customers, staff and the general public, and is not permitted under our operational regulations.

Photos and Videos

If there is a technical issue and all footage is unavailable, you may receive a refund to the value of the video/photo product.

Please be advised that should there be any technical issues relating to camera equipment, no refunds can be made for the actual skydive. Any refund for technical issues with the photos and video will only be for the photo/video product.

Copyright Photos and Videos

Skydive Sri Lanka owns and retains the right to video and photographic media produced, and media remains the copyright of Skydive Sri Lanka. Skydive Sri Lanka may use such media for marketing purposes. Media may only be used or reproduced by the purchaser or recipient for private or domestic purposes, and must not be used for any commercial purpose, including promotion of any supplier or any supplier’s products or services, without  Skydive Sri Lanka’s prior permission. 

Should you not want any of your media used on Skydive Sri Lanka’s social media platforms or for marketing purposes, please advise our staff prior to your jump.

Skydive Sri Lanka provides edited photographs and videos either directly or through third party suppliers. We endeavour to deliver purchased media products in a timely manner, and commit to clearly stating expected delivery times and communicate any delays to you. To maintain the quality and integrity of our product, we do not provide raw footage.

Changes to Products & Pricing

Skydive Sri Lanka reserves the right to change any pricing, special offers, products, and packages without notice.

Credit Card Surcharges

Credit card payments processed online, over the phone or in person may attract credit card surcharges. These charges are set by our payment providers, are subject to change, and are non-refundable.

Gift Vouchers

All gift vouchers are non-refundable but are transferable to another person. Vouchers purchased for full price skydives expire 1 year after purchase. 

Vouchers for promotional products may have a shorter expiry. You must use your gift voucher prior to its expiry date. 

Expired vouchers are not redeemable.

2 x FREE Skydives competition (25/03/2024 – 7/04/2024) terms and conditions

Winner receives 2 free skydives at a date and time mutually agreed on by Skydive Sri Lanka and the winner. Winner must nominate the two participants within 24 hours of being notified of their prize. Skydives are not redeemable as cash and may not be on-sold. Participants must by 18 years of age or more. Participants must weigh less than 90kg. Our standard terms and conditions also apply.  (Please note that competition terms and conditions override standard terms and conditions.)
